Hello! I’m Erin Oliver, a Library Media Specialist with more than 25 years of experience helping students grow as readers, thinkers, and creators. I’ve taught at multiple levels, but I’ve always found the most joy in building welcoming spaces where students feel seen, supported, and capable of success.
My work is grounded in literacy, access, and meaningful relationships. I believe libraries should feel both calm and energizing — a place where students can read, research, collaborate, design, and explore new ideas with confidence.
Over the years, I’ve developed a passion for designing strong library programs, integrating technology in thoughtful ways, and supporting teachers through collaboration, resources, and instructional partnerships. Whether I’m teaching research skills, curating a diverse collection, or guiding a hands-on makerspace project, my goal is always the same: to help students discover what excites them and to support authentic, engaging learning at every level.
Outside of school, I love traveling, spending time with my family, reading widely, and finding creative ways to bring new ideas back to my students.
