Library Aide Teacher Temperature Check

To keep the verification process simple and respectful of teacher time, I use a weekly email system rather than additional forms. Once applications are submitted, I send teachers a short list of students who applied and ask for a quick recommendation. Teachers reply directly to the email with “Yes,” “Yes with support,” or “Not at this time.” This provides an efficient and accurate read on student readiness without placing extra work on staff.

I verify attendance and behavior independently, and administrators are looped in only when needed. This streamlined system supports student leadership development, protects instructional time, and maintains strong partnerships across the building.
