This section highlights hdigital tools that help our students collaborate, reflect, research, and stay engaged. Everything listed here is safe for students, practical for busy classrooms, and aligned to the needs of our learners at Alvin Brooks. As the Library Media Specialist, I introduce tools that are manageable for teachers and meaningful for students, with a focus on building confidence and improving engagement.

A quick guide I created for teachers outlining effective alternatives to Quizizz and EdPuzzle. This one-pager highlights tools that support engagement, accountability, research skills, and strong instructional design while keeping student access safe and manageable.
Teacher Tech Tips Visit
Helping teachers integrate technology in ways that feel simple, purposeful, and student-friendly is one of my favorite parts of this role. The Teacher Tech Tips program offers quick, practical support whenever a classroom routine needs smoothing, a tool needs setting up, or student engagement needs a boost. My goal is to make technology feel manageable and meaningful so teachers can focus on strong instruction and students can focus on learning.
Teachers can request a visit for anything from troubleshooting and organization tips to engagement tools and digital citizenship mini-lessons. Each visit is shaped around the teacher’s goals and follows the flow of their classroom. Together, we find small adjustments and helpful strategies that make a big difference for students.
